Ambassador's qualification shame

The South African ambassador to Japan is the latest government official accused of faking her qualifications.

According to a report in the Financial Mail, Mohau Pheko has been presenting herself as Dr Pheko, when in fact she does not hold a PHD.
Pheko’s CV states she has a doctorate in International Relations from LaSalle University in Louisiana, in the US.
But in 1996, the university’s owner was jailed for issuing thousands of fraudulent qualifications.
The Financial Mail claims government has been aware of the problem as Canada flagged the issue when Pheko was sent there as ambassador-designate in 2010.
The International Relations and Cooperation Department has declined to comment.
