Dr. Mvungi is no more

Dr. Sengondo Mvungi who was a member of the Constitution Review Commission in Tanzania, lawyer,Vice-Chancellor of  Bagamoyo University and presidential candidate in 2005 passed away on Tuesday at the Mil-park Hospital in South Africa.  Dr. Sengondo Mvungi was attacked, robbed and injured by suspected robbers at his residency on November, 2013.  The armed  robbers took his laptop, pistol, mobile phone and some money.  After the incident Dr. Mvungi was rushed to Muhimbili National Hospital at Intensive Care Unit before admitted to Mil-park Hospital in SouthAfrica.

Patient commits suicide at Muhimbili National Hospital

A woman identified as Lewina Melkiory aged 38 committed suicide by jumping from the second floor of the maternity ward at the Muhimbili National Hospital where she had gone to deliver.Lewina did not leave behind a note explains the reasons for taking her own life and the child she gave birth is still at the hospital.
