KwaMashu remains under heavy police guard

DURBAN - Looting incidents targeting foreign-owned shops broke out across Durban again last night.
Police resources were stretched to the limit in KwaMashu, north of Durban, as a constant flow of reports streamed in.
This comes as the city continues to face an outbreak of xenophobia.
Business owners in KwaMashu scrambled to save their belongings on Monday, with the aid of security protection services -- and yet still, some were too late.
Thousands of rands in stock have been stolen and destroyed.
Throughout the area, police have worked tirelessly to ward off looters and protect foreigners as they closed up shop and moved stock to a safer storage location.
Despite this, reports continue to stream in of violence, break-ins and attempted murder.
Police will remain on high alert in the area.
Four people - foreigners and South Africans - have been killed since the violence started.
